Stuck inside...

We have been stuck inside the past few weeks.  It has snowed so much here!  I actually like the snow...it is so pretty...but I don't like driving in it.  Not that I ever really have the car to drive in the snow, but still.  I like taking the kids outside to play in it...but that only lasts 20 minutes on a good day.  ha ha.  So we have been staying inside.  Here are some of the things we have been up to.

We love to make our own playdoh and play with it for a loooong time!  Zac especially loves playdoh. He will work on making me a cake with candles for a long time.

Emery loves to just wander through the house and she always finds random articles of clothing to carry around with her.  They are usually a pair of Zac's pj pants or undies....this particular day it was both.  :)

We eat snacks...here is Sadie feeding Emery part of her banana.

Then one day I realized that there was stuff inside the couch.  Sadie had been banging her feet underneath the couch and I could hear stuff rattling in there.  So we decided to move the couch out and get the stuff out.  There is a nice big hole in the back of our couch which is how all of the stuff got in there.

Ummm...this is embarrassing!  ha ha.  Look at all of that junk behind/under the couch.  Yeah...i cleaned that up too.

My arm was too big to reach into the hole in the back of the couch, so I had Sadie do it and this is all of the stuff that she got out of it.  ha ha.  Actually the dvd player remote was in there too.  I was wondering who it was that put all the stuff in the hole, but while Sadie and I were cleaning it out, Zac ran over and stuck two little bouncy balls in the hole!!  I think we figured out who it was.  :)

Emery eating broccoli for a snack.  Well, mostly just sucking on it I guess.

Rob taught the kids how to play the guitar hero game on the wii...Sadie is pretty good at it.  She knows how to keep a beat!  They have only played it once since then.  But doesn't Zac look super adorable with the guitar on??!

At a friend's house, the kids climbed into their closet.  ha ha.  So funny.

And more friends!  Jake and Andrew came over to play and ate lunch with us!  And this is a great picture of all of them!  That rarely happens!

Emery

Emery is just growing up so fast!  She is thirteen months old now and has six teeth!  Check out those top teeth...they all decided to come in at the same time around Thanksgiving time...her outside ones are in farther than her two middle ones, so she looks like a little vampire.  ha ha.  THis is the only picture I have of them...you can tell she is really happy with me.
Her little personality is coming out more and more.  She is kind of a little diva.  She wants things HER way!  ha ha.  She walks all over these days and hardly crawls any more.  She has found the toilet and loves trying to put things into it before I take her away.  Same with the trash can.  One of these days she will throw away my phone or something.  ha ha

Here she is driving the car.  She is a pro!

She loves to put coins into our bank.  This will keep her busy for fifteen minutes!

She loves to give me heart attacks while hanging out on the top bunk with her brother and sister.

She has learned about the flash...ha ha.

And she has awesome static hair.  That blue couch is full of static especially in the winter...and that is he fake coughing face.  She thinks it is funny.

 Another angle...

Have a great day!

Things that made me laugh this weekend

We had a lot of fun this weekend.  Yesterday we went to the mall for some new shoes for Rob...his were literally falling apart.  So the kids got to play on the playplace thing for a while which they love.  Then after naps we went swimming at the indoor pool.  It was tons of fun and the kids of course had a blast.

The funny thing is in the car I play these old Radio AAHS cds from when I was little.  They have cute songs on them for the kids.  One of my favorites is from the tv show Animaniacs called the "Hello song"  The kids always want me to play that song over and over and over again whenever we go anywhere.  Sadie is almost always belting out the songs at the top of her lungs, but during this song, Zac joins right in.  Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera when he was really belting it out, so this is the less enthusiastic version.  ha ha.  I love how big his mouth gets at the end.  So funny.

And this second video is tonight at dinner....well, it was after dinner.  Zac was taking forever to finish his scones, so we left him at the table to finish by himself.  About 15 minutes later, I looked out there and this is what I saw...

So funny.  I love the part where he looks right at me and he can't keep his eyes open.  ha ha.  And I love how in the background, you can hear ROb singing.  Yeah...that is constantly going on in the background at our house.  It is funny.  He is always making some kind of noise.  I love him.  :)

And here are a few pictures I snapped after we got out at the pool.

Cute kids trying to keep warm in their towels.

 Daddy and Emery.

It was a great weekend!

Cold

It has been downright COLD here in Utah lately.  The temperature would be in the negatives when I woke up, and stay under ten degrees all day long.  So we were inside a lot!  Just walking outside to get the mail chilled me to the bone!  That went on for about a week at least.  It was very cold.  I am so grateful for out furnace!!!

Then today, I woke up and the temperature was in the high twenties when we left to drive rob to his carpool this morning.  It is amazing what a difference 20 degrees can make!  And it got to thirty something degrees today...it felt like a spring day!  I had just a small sweater on and I could feel the heat of the sun on my face.  It was so nice!!!

Anyway, we had quite the snow storm a couple weeks ago, so i guess I will finally get around to posting pictures about it!  I went outside to shovel the snow and Zac was the only one that stuck it out and stayed outside with me until I was done.  He loves to play in the snow!

I am not good at guessing how much snow there is on the ground, but there was a lot...it came up to Zac's knees.

 Snow angel.

This was to show how deep the snow was along our walkway, but it didn't turn out very well.

Zac was begging to use the shovel...he is a good little shovel-er.

Trying to wade through the snow in the backyard...I guess the snow was above his knees.  There was a lot of it!

Then the kids asked ROb to get them an icicle...they like to eat them (which is so gross because they are so dirty!!!  Maybe that is why they are always sick!)  This one was almost as tall as Sadie.  I really love icicles...I am always commenting on them as we drive along and see them.  They are so pretty!

Rob decided that he was going to break these icicles off the roof because they were pulling part of the roof down with their weight.  So he took the ladder and knocked them down.  He said he won't ever do that again because he saw his life flashing before his eyes.  ha ha.
