Worms - YUCK!

One rainy Thursday morning, I heard the garbage truck outside.  I knew we hadn't put our garbage cans on the road yet, so I rushed out there to pull them out to the curb.  I noticed a TON of very large worms all over the road and sidewalk.  They were everywhere!  I ran in to tell the kids to come outside to see them.  It was about 7:15 in the morning and we were all out there checking out the worms.
Like I said...they were big!  Longer than my foot.

Emery had no fear.  She just picked them up and held them in her hands.  YUCK! The other kids were a little bit more reluctant.  But they got into it as well.  Check out the videos.

BYU Duck Pond

Rob's brother Luke broke both of his wrists a couple weeks ago and we wanted to go visit him in Provo.  So we loaded up the kids and drove down on a Friday after Rob was done with work.  We visited with them for a while and then walked down to the duck pond.  The kids loved it!

William and Riley on their wiggle car.  William is so nice to share all his toys.

Then he bonked or something (I can't remember) and so I got to snuggle him for a minute.  Then we took some selfies.

Walking to the duck pond.  William let Riley ride in his stroller the whole way.  And he helped push.

My kids loved seeing the baby ducks.  They are so cute!  And we saw duck eggs everywhere.  It was crazy.

Happy birthday to Zac!

On Arpil 26th Zac turned 6!!  It was such a great day.  He woke up to six balloons and some presents.  He invited some friends over for a play date after school.  IT was supposed to be an outside water play date, but it was raining!  So we just played inside.  Zac was so happy to get attention and to get some new games.  He LOVES games.

Here he is with his first present.

He got lots of mail on his birthday.  He loved it.  THanks to Aunt Shanna and Calvin and Grandma Selin.

 Zac with his buddies.

Cake and ice cream...of course.  It was amazing how much cake was on the floor when they were all done.  ha ha.

Riley loved the cake.  Just look at that face.

One of Zac's friends gave him checkers for his birthday.  He has been playing that game non-stop since he got it.  Seriously.  He loves it.  And he is good.  He beats me.

 Making a wish...
And blowing out the candles.  We didn't see his teeth on his first bite of cake either, so it is likely going to come true.

And because just having a birthday isn't enough, the next day he got to go to the zoo with his class at school.  He loved it!  We sure love our Zac.

Dump trucks

It's so fun to watch big dump trucks dump dirt in your backyard.  Just like last year, it was raining, so the kids couldn't go out at play in it.  It got pretty muddy.  But Rob got it all over to the garden and now our plants are enjoying some fresh new dirt.

Four Kids

Having four kids definitely keeps us busy.  Especially when they are all trying to climb on Rob at the same time!

They are all adorable though.  Not all days are sunshine and rainbows, but most of them are filled with laughter and smiles with these four around.

We got these mats from Ikea for Kung Fu and for Sadie to practice gymnastics.  The kids all love them.

And they all fit under this fun pvc pipe tent to read books.  (Riley is there, but you can't see her under there!)  I want to make a tent like this.  The kids happily sat under that thing with flashlights and read book for a good 15 minutes until we had to go home.  (This was the end of a school activity.)

I sure love my kids!

Mom! Come look!

I love when my  kids call me down frantically to see something.  I never know what to expect.  Sometimes its a spider, sometimes its a huge mess, sometimes its Riley hanging off of a chair at the counter because she can't get down.  But I love when it is something like this.  It makes me laugh.

Riley at 21 months old

Riley is at such a fun age.  She is so cute and hilarious most of the time.  She always tries to do the things her older siblings do.  Also, this morning she was trying to show a dance to Zac.  Zac kept wanting to dance with her, but she wanted him to watch.  So she turned around and said "ZAC!  COUCH!" and pointed to the couch.  It was hilarious.  I can never leave her alone with craft supplies either.  She will find a pencil or pen on the floor and then later I will find pen drawings on the wall or on our fabric covered chair.  It's a good thing we don't have lots of nice things.  :)  None of my other kids really drew on the wall.  She is a master at waiting until I'm not paying attention and then making her mark!

She found Zac's hat one day and put it on herself.  It was too cute to not take a bunch of pictures.  Hah!  I love my little 21 month old!
