Some of the Cute Things Sadie is Doing...

Lately Sadie has just been so cute so I thought I would share a few of the things that make me laugh.

Her cute smile with one little tooth at the bottom!

When I put her down for a nap, I always put her right in the middle of her crib. This is always how I find her when she wakes up. She has the whole crib, but she would rather scrunch up in the corner. Silly girl!

Here she is playing with her hands. She does this about 100 times every day. It is cute!

The other day she figured out how to make really high pitched squeals and she practiced doing it for about an hour. I really thought she was going to loose her voice.

Boise Temple and La Grande

On our way to La Grande, we stopped in Boise to see Crystal get her endowments out. It was such a beautiful temple. It was great being able to see her and her family there to support her.

Here are some pictures outside the temple...

We got to where we were staying pretty late, so Sadie was not very happy. She needed sleep! She definitely had trouble in that area the whole trip. She was also teething so she was pretty fussy the whole trip. I felt bad, but I think her grandparents and Uncles still thought she was pretty cute.

This was her favorite toy while we were there. She would just sit in it happily for a long time. It was really cute.

She even didn't mind when we put it on her head.

Her uncle Andrew was so good at making her laugh.

We had a great trip, even though it was short and we can't wait till we get to see them again...which will be pretty soon because Luke will get his mission call pretty soon. Hooray!

Farewell Sister Kevan

Well Crystal went into the MTC on Wednesday. She was so excited to be starting her mission. She is serving in the New York, New York mission speaking English. I'm really excited for her and I know she will do well.

This is Crystal just before we left for the MTC.

At the MTC with the Family. It was great to see Daniel.

The same day that Crystal entered the MTC was a big day for Sadie. It was her 6 month birthday! Wow, time really has gone fast. I can't believe how much she has learned and grown. She is on the verge of crawling, getting her two bottom front teeth, and her sleeping has improved so much! She now takes at least 2 long naps during the day (usually three) and there is no battle to get her to sleep. I just lay her in her crib awake and happy, close the door and walk out. Within about 5 minutes she is sleeping soundly. It is great. She always wakes up with a huge smile on her face. It has been so great having her in our home and I am excited to see how her life will continue to change. We love her!

Sleeping?

The other day Rob and I were walking home after playing ultimate frisbee. Sadie was being so quiet and every time I checked on her from the little window on top of the stroller she was playing with her toy. Well, when we got home we discovered that she was sleeping like this. It was adorable.

Monster Sunflowers

When we planted our sunflowers back in april, we never expected them to be this big! This one is almost taller than our apple tree. crazy. We are proud of our huge sunflower and we cant wait to get the seeds and cook them and eat them.

It finally opened about a week ago, but since then, another flower has opened on our tallest one. So it has 2 heads. It is pretty neat.

Family pictures

So while my parents were here, we tried to take some family pictures. We really should go and have them done professionally, but this will do for now. Sadie was just such a great model we had to get pictures of her with her grandparents and her uncle too!

Just before we started taking pictures, the power in our house went out. Now it wasn't out for very long, maybe 30 minutes or so. But when the only way you keep your house cool is by a swamp cooler, it gets hot really fast. Especially when you have been cooking for the last couple hours and there are lots of people in the same room. So we all hung out outside for a while until the power company came and fixed it. It was a fun adventure.

Fun with Family

My parents came up this past weekend to attend my dad's 30th mission reunion. It was so much fun having them around and it was a good break from taking care of Sadie 24/7. They helped so much. We all went to my aunt's house on Friday night to have dinner and visit. Rob and I drove up separately because there wasn't enough room for everyone in one car. On our way there I was hearing a funny noise...I was sitting in the back with Sadie because she wasn't in such a good mood. I asked Rob what it was and he said it was just the truck coming up behind us. Well when the truck passed and the noise was getting louder, I mentioned it again. Just then, The car kind of shook and then we heard a loud popping sound and had to stop. Unfortunately we were in the far left lane and there was no way we would be able to get over to the right. We were stuck there for about 10 minutes when we decided we would just call 911 and ask them to send someone to help us get off of the freeway. Just as Rob dialed the number a cop car pulled up behind us. They had to stop all the traffic on the freeway on a friday night for us to get over. We felt pretty bad about that, but it had to be done. So the cop helped us change our tire and we were off to get a new one because there was no saving the flat tire. It completely shredded. It was weird. It was a good thing that it happened when it did though because we are going on vacation to Oregon this weekend, so at least we weren't in the middle of nowhere.

Anyway, on saturday, we were invited to a picnic with my parents and we got to meet his old mission presidents. It was pretty fun. They had Swedish sandwich makings (bread, cheese, cucumbers and tomatoes) and they had some games going. Sadie was really tired by this time because we had gone to a farmer's market that morning. So she really needed a nap. Anyway, here are come pictures from the picnic.
