Dinosaur museum

Our good friends live really close to Thanksgiving point...so when we went to visit them this last Wednesday, we decided to meet at the dinosaur museum.  I knew the kids would love it and I loved it because we got in half off because my friend has a year pass.  Thanks guys!  :)  So we met up at the museum and the kids just had a blast.  Sadie and Jake ran off and did their own thing most of the time (they were always in the same area as we were) and Andrew and Zac just stuck together and explored.  ha ha.  It was so cute to watch them!

There was a sound exhibit set up in the first room.  Some guy told us to come back when it was less crowded because we wouldn't get the full effect of the sound experience...but lets face it.  The kids just liked pushing the buttons and running around.  ha ha.

These two were always side by side.

And so were these two!  I love that we can still get together every other week or so and the kids still act like they live across the street!

These two sat here for quite a while.  It was cute.

Playing at the sand and water table.

These next pictures crack me up because I took about 6 in all and Zac was NEVER looking.  ha ha.  I guess it is hard to concentrate when there is a giant shark mouth behind you.  :)

Sadie and Jake sure look cute though don't they?

Family shot...Zac was not very happy at the moment.  I think it was because we put quarters into a machine and he thought he was going to get candy but it was just a smashed penny.  ha ha.  What a disappointment.

But he cheered up when we went to get ice cream.

Such a fun trip.  We loved it.  We can't wait to hang out with those guys again!

More work on the shed

Of course you can't come to our house these days and escape working on the shed with Rob!  Ha ha.  But Scott was a good sport and climbed on the roof and hammered some nails in there.  It really scares me with Rob (and others) working on the roof.  I am glad it is almost done!  :)

Emery and bubbles

I just looked at these pictures and they made me laugh.  So I thought some people would enjoy looking at them too.  This was the first time Emery had gotten up close and personal with bubbles.  ha ha.

I love those faces!  ha ha.  And despite what her face looks like in the pictures, she really did like it.

And this is my latest score:
A johnny jumper thing.  Brand new in the box for three dollars at a yard sale.  Last Saturday was a great yard sale day for me.  I bought a practically brand new plasma (wiggle) car for ten dollars, and a bunch of movies for the kids for around 7 dollars.  I think there ended up being about 7 dvds.  Awesome.  And this jumper thing that Emery and my other kids love.  SCORE!

Our fourth of July

We had a fun holiday on the 4th.  Rob got the day off (hooray!) and we did some fun stuff.  First we went grocery shopping (fun!) because it had literally been weeks since we did a big grocery shopping trip.  So we got the fridge all stocked and then we let Emery take a nap.  After she woke up, we brought a picnic lunch to a park in Hobble Creek Canyon.  It was lots of fun.  The kids loved it and so did Rob and I.  It is so much fun watching the kids have fun.  But there were like a million flies trying to eat our food.  It was gross!

Anyway after that, we went home to get ready for our friends to come over for a last minute BBQ.  It was a blast.  We hadn't seen them in a few weeks and the kids just loved every minute of it.  I wish these guys still lived across the street!  But it was great to catch up with them and see their newborn girl who is adorable.  I realized after they left that I didn't ask if I could hold her!  Dang!  Oh well...that just means we need to go visit them again soon before their baby gets too big.  :)

Here are some pictures from our day.

Emery, ROb and I enjoying the yummy hamburgers and guacamole.

Jake and Sadie playing with the squirt things in the pool.

Eating...when these two are together, they eat really well.  Sadie ate an entire hamburger and so did Jake.  If he wasn't there...I am sure it would have been hard to get her to take a bite!

All the kids eating on the towels.  They got sooooo dirty!

Andrew and Zac are good buddies.  Here they are swinging.

And I just love this picture.  I don't know why, maybe because it shows all the kids having fun.

 The kids in the garden.

They picked out first tomatoes and two bell peppers.  They were really excited about it too!

 Picnic at the park.

Me and Emery were there too!

And this is me modeling the shirt that I made for myself.  I really love how it turned out and can't wait to make a few more!

Rob was showing me his rock climbing skills.  Here he is jumping from one side to the other.  Pretty cool.

Cute Emery in her 4th of July attire.

And I just like this picture of Zac.

Rob made himself a double cheeseburger.  He could hardly fit his mouth around it.

We are grateful to live in this country and for those who serve our country in the military.  Hope you all have a great Independence day too!

Skuncle scott

Uncle Scott is in town.  The kids love it.  Here they all are enjoying a yummy donut from Reams.  Reams has the best donuts!  Sadie likes to call him Skuncle scott.  Pretty funny.

We went to the BYU duck pond and saw some turtles.

 Zac loves throwing the bread.

 And so does Sadie.

And here they all are doing what Scott does best at our house.  Napping.  He seriously could take a nap in the middle of the floor with the kids running all around him.  It is pretty funny.

The shed part three

Like I said before...grandpa worked really hard the entire time he was here.  They got a ton done.  It was great.  Thanks again.  I don't think we can thank him enough for all of the work that he did!  Here he is building the forms...at least I think that is what they are called.

 Putting up the walls.

They worked late into the night.  Do you see all of those white dots...yeah.  That is ashes falling down from the fires in utah. Crazy.

Now the ladders are out.  Things are getting serious.

 Muscle man!

The kids loved hanging out in there...I don't know how they did it because it was so loud in there while they were banging the hammer, but they sat there for a long time.

 It is coming together.

 Zac using the hammer.

Sadie working hard on her nail board thing that Andrew made for her.

Sadie wearing Andrews shoes.  Those things are huge!

 Zac in Andrew's shoes.

And here is a cute picture of Emery.  Hope you all are having a great week!
