Surprise!

Guess who is (mostly) potty trained??  Hooray!  I was definitely not planning on this until about a year from now, but Zac came up to me one morning about 3 weeks ago and asked if he could have some nerds.  SO I said "go pee on the potty and you can have some...." thinking that would get his mind off of the candy.  Well he walked right into the bathroom and went on the toilet.  Ha!  So he got his candy and he has been in undies ever since!  IT was a pleasant surprise.  The reason I say he is mostly potty trained is because he has trouble with number 2 if you know what I mean.  He hated it before but especially hates it now because he has to go in the toilet.  Anyway...TMI.

Here he is sorting through all of his new underwear.  At first he insisted on wearing three pairs at the same time.  Now we are down to one.  :)

So yay for Zac!  And I definitely think that little boy undies are way cuter than little girl undies.  :)

New Family pictures

So my friend Amanda took some new family pictures for us.  She is amazing!  I am in love with all of the pictures that she took.  And dang, we have some seriously cute kiddos!  Here are just some of my favorites.  I think the top one is my favorite though.  Emery's expression is awesome!  Ha Sadie and Zac look adorable.  And Rob looks handsome!  :)

Thank you so much Amanda!  We LOVE THEM!

Sleeping

The other day Emery was taking a really long evening nap.  Rob and I kept looking at the clock and were astonished that she was still asleep.  Finally after dinner we decided to go wake her up so she would sleep at bedtime.  She just looked so cute that we had to take a picture.

Doesn't she look so content.  But this is the problem you face when waking up a sleeping baby...

She was pretty upset that we woke her up.  Just look at that face!  She calmed down right when daddy picked her up though.

We love to be outside

This past weekend we spent a lot of time outside.  On Friday we had planned a surprise picnic for Rob and we were going to have him meet us at the park.  Then he surprised us and came home early from work!  IT was great.  So we got our picnic together and off to the park we went.  It was a lot of fun.  Then on Saturday I went to some yard sales with my friend and picked up some fun tray things that are great for eating lunch on outside.  So since I got those, we have been eating outside on them a lot. And they were great for the Mother's day breakfast that Rob made for me.  So i think they were well worth the dollar that I paid for them!  :)  I love yard sales!  And we also planted our garden on Saturday.  So we have loved the warm weather.

 Emery chillin' in the shade!

Zac enjoying a donut outside. He eats only the part with frosting.  SO when he is done, I am left with the bottom part with NO frosting on it.  Silly boy.

 And Sadie's favorite...sugar.

 Happy girl.

Our picnic at the park.  THe kids hardly ate anything because they just wanted to go play the whole time.

Proof that I was there too.  :)

Our new fun picnic trays.  THe kids love them and ask to eat on them ALL the time!

 Mother's day breakfast.

Strawberry crepes with cream cheese filling.
YUM.

Sadie and Zac helping plant the garden.  We didn't plant as much this year, but we are excited to start getting some yummy tomatoes.  Nothing beats a home grown tomato!

First Baby food

We gave Emery baby food for the first time last week.  She wasn't sure at first...but I think she likes it a little better now.  At least she is learning how to swallow better!  :)

I love her eyebrows.  It's like she is asking "what are you giving me??"  Ha ha.

Farm

We went to the farm at Thanksgiving Point last weekend.  It was really fun.  The kids loved seeing the animals and being able to pet some of them.  The best part was probably the free cake and the pony ride.  I really enjoyed it too.  Here are some pictures:

The kids loved these little games that were set up all over the place.  They got a cheap little prize after each one was completed.

Looking at the calf (i think that is what it was.)

Sadie and Jake eating their cake!

The three little piggies!  Zac loved the baby pigs.

The whole fam...lets get a closer look at the baby...

 Fast asleep.

We had to wait a while for the horse ride...but the kids were champs and just had a blast climbing on the fence.  It wasn't till we got to the front of the line that we read the sign that said no climbing on the fence.  ha ha.

Zac needed some help.  He got the cute little pony.

And Sadie was a natural.  She had a huge smile on her face the whole time!

And she was well rested for the car ride to our friends house to eat lunch... in fact, I got her to do this:

It was a fun day!
