For the grandparents

Here is a cute video that I shot while Rob was at work. I wish you could see Sadie's face more but it is kinda hard when you don't have control of the camera. This is one of Sadie's favorite games. Anyway, I hope this makes everyone smile. Enjoy!

Sunflowers and garden

Our garden is winding down...the squash and tomatoes are still going strong. This last week or so we cut down the huge sunflowers we had and roasted the seeds. I must say they were the best sunflower seeds that I have ever had. Delicious! Unfortunately, they are all gone already...Rob and I are pretty die-hard seed eaters. Anyway, here are a few pictures of our biggest sunflower and the seeds we got.

Here is Rob holding our largest sunflower head. Pretty big eh?

Taking the seeds out.

The delicious finished product! Yumm. We will definitely be planting more sunflowers next year.

College Graduate...almost

I have always known that I would graduate college. It has been a goal of mine since...well...for ever. I am so close that I am not too motivated lately. The plan was to finish school in 4 and a half years(I switched majors as a sophomore). Then I got married and the new plan was to finish in only 4 years because I could take spring and summer classes to speed up the process. Well, then I got pregnant and I went to school through December and had only 6.5 more credits to go. So I am taking them online and the goal was to get them done before Sadie arrived meaning I would need to finish them all in 2 months or so. I signed up for 3 classes and I am still not graduated.

The good news...drum roll please...I FINISHED ONE CLASS!!! yay! I will finish another one next week and then I will only have to write my english paper and take the final in that class. It will be so nice when I am completely done so I can focus on other projects without feeling guilty about not working on my class. Anyway...I'm just really ggald that I finished my first online class...and the best part...I GOT AN A! Wahooooo! That is all.

It Starts...

Sadie is officially 7 months old as of Saturday and here is a little something she has been working on the past couple of days.

That's right! She is now mobile! Yikes...Pretty slow moving right now but she is getting faster and faster everyday.

ps. notice the duct tape on her diaper. The little tab broke off and we didn't want to waste it, so we used tape. Yes we are cheap.

5 Things I love...

1. When she feeds herself these Gerber puffs and misses her mouth.

2. I was out in the kitchen fixing dinner when I heard some bangs on the guitar. I walked out to find this. I saved her right before it fell right on top of her. I love that she loves the guitar. Anytime she is crying, she will stop if one of us plays guitar for her.

3. When my husband does yardwork. :)

4. When we go for walks and Sadie puts her little feetsies on the bar. Its adorable.

5. I finally got around to putting up new curtains. These were the ones that were up when we moved in. Notice that the "rod" is actually a pvc pipe. Really nice.

These are some new curtains that I made. My favorite part are the buttons. :) They make me happy.

Happy Anniversary!

Well, it wasn't really our anniversary but we didn't have our frozen wedding cake on our actual anniversary. It was being stored in my parent's freezer in Arizona. When they came up recently, they brought the cake. So we decided to celebrate our 1 and a half year anniversary by eating the cake! I was not really thinking that it was going to be good after a year and a half in the freezer, but it survived the freezer and the long drive from Phoenix and it seriously tasted delicious. I couldn't even tell that it had been in the freezer. I think it did so well because my mom wrapped it really good. Like 4 times in foil and 2-3 times in suran wrap. It was scrumptious. So, happy anniversary Rob...kind of. :)

Excuse how we look in these pictures...it was pretty late.
