Tulip festival

Here in Utah, they have something called the tulip festival in Thanksgiving point.  I have always wanted to go...but never had.  This year we went because we live so much closer to Thanksgiving point and I loved it!  The flowers are so pretty and the gardens just keep going and going and going.  It is huge!  The kids got a little tired of walking, but it was worth it!  I loved it!  Here are some pictures:

This was a little pond area where you could buy food to give the fish.  It was crazy!

And the waterfalls.  The kids loved this!

Ladder climbing

So our new house has high ceilings.  And one day, i decided to clean the nasty fan blades on all the ceiling fans around the house.  Because they were really gross.  Like caked on dust and pet hair all over the place.  And the kids kept turning on the fans and I didn't want to be breathing that stuff in so I finally cleaned it.  So I brought our ladder inside and took care of the fans.  Then, of course, the ladder became a playground.

Emery ate spaghetti.  This is just a random picture..it has nothing to do with what I am talking about.  Well, I guess you can see the ladder in the background...

Sadie and Zac took turns climbing to the top.  Zac didn't like going very high.

Emery had no problems with going high.  In fact, later that week, I had the ladder all the way up (it goes up about twice this high) and I left the room for like one minute and she was at the top!!  ha ha.  Crazy girl.   I didn't leave her alone in the room with the ladder anymore after that!

Sisters!  Emery always needs a little help looking at the camera.  :)

Playing with Letters

This is pretty much a daily activity for us.  The kids, especially Emery, LOVE these fabric letters I made years ago.  Emery will hold one up and yell a letter over and over until I tell her which one it actually is and then she will yell that letter over and over until the next one.  ha ha.  Pretty funny.  She also likes to pick them up and then wander the house...so it kind of stresses me out a little.  I don't want to lose any!  :)  Anyway, I guess i just need to relax a little.

The other day we spelled our names with the letters.  Then I took pictures.  I think they turned out pretty good!  Shocker!  Zac was NOT in the mood to take any pictures, so I am suprised his turned out so cute!  I think I may need to print these out and hang them on the wall..after all, my walls are COMPLETELY bare right now.  :)

Grandma and Grandpa Kevan

Rob's parents came to visit for their spring break.  It was great, and the kids loved the extra attention.  :)  Here are a few things we did with them...

As always, we put grandpa to work.  ha ha.  And Zac was his little helper.  Even though he looks sad, he loved helping grandpa with the tools!

Coloring on the magnadoodle with grandpa.

Zac didn't like the loud saw, so he let grandpa do that part by himself.

Rob and Luke tandem juggling.  ha ha.

Here is grandpa helping Zac build a birdhouse.  The seed we put inside is already gone.  The birds must have been hungry!

Here is grandma helping Sadie make a peanut butter pinecone bird feeder.  The birds are at our house daily eating the seeds off of it.

Grandpa and Zac fixed the stairs on our patio.  Now they are perfect!  Good job guys!  I was so glad that Zac got some guy stuff to do while they were here...he usually is stuck being the baby while playing house or something like that. He loved helping grandpa with the tools!

Ducks

We have ducks at our new house.  ha ha.  They come by pretty much everyday and lounge by the little water area in our front yard.  The kids love it...especially Emery.  The ducks are so funny because they run away from the kids, but they just go in circles.  So they don't really try to get away, they just let the kids chase them all over the yard.  It is pretty funny.

A neighbor said that the ducks come every year around springtime and wander the yards and find a place to make a nest.  I hope they choose our house because I think it would be fun to see little baby ducklings.

Snow day in March

This is way past due, but in March we got snow for the first time at our new house.  Of course the kids wanted to go out and play in it. So I had to find where the snow clothes were, which took a while, but then we got dressed and went outside.  The kids love to play in the snow, usually for short periods of time.  ha ha.

This is what Zac does the whole time we are outside...make a snowball...take a bite...
 Wind up....

And let it fly!  Haha.  Really..that is what he does the whole time. And I think it is awesome.  Even when he gets me in the face.  :)

Cute Emery and Sadie.  They found a puddle on the cement and that was where Emery wanted to be.

He is winding up again...I think it dodged this one though.

Like I said, Emery found a puddle and there was no way she was going to play anywhere else.  I tried moving her, but she always ended up right here...I knew it wouldn't last long though.  It was cold out there.

Then we went inside and took a nice warm bath.

We like the snow, but we love the warmer weather we have been getting lately!  Hooray for spring and summer!

Easter

Well, Easter this year totally snuck up on us.  I was on the phone with my friend the Tuesday before Easter and good thing she mentioned it was that weekend or else I may have completely missed it.  ha ha

This is one of Emery's favorite spots to sit and read books.  Pretty cute.

Enjoying some jelly beans at the outdoor mall.

Searching for the Easter eggs in the backyard.  The kids were having so much fun.

We took tons of pictures before church.  This is the only one where they are all looking at the camera.  With a little help from Sadie...ha ha.  And if you look closely, you can see the bloomers that came with the dress sticking out the bottom...Rob didn't notice them when he put the dress on her.  ha ha.

Here are a few other pictures that we got that were ok:

Emery picked up two eggs and was content just shaking them while the other kids found the rest of the eggs.
I was determined to get a great picture of the kids so we tried again inside...Emery was done.  Rob was juggling behind me to get the kids attention.  ha ha

We had a great Easter and it was fun to teach the kids what Easter is really about.  Sadie is really starting to understand the true meanings of the holidays and it is awesome.  We had a fun egg hunt on Monday night but the eggs were full of parts of the story of the resurrection.  It was so fun.  Hope everyone else had a great Easter!
