I am once again way behind on my blogging. I feel like we haven't really been doing anything much, so I forget about posting. But I want to get better about posting the mundane stuff we do, because that's what makes up most of our life. :)
But this post is about Christmas. It's been a month. ha ha.
Here are all of our pictures in reverse order. I don't feel like taking the time to put them in the right order.
On Christmas Eve, we had a laid back day where we opened the gifts on the elf chart and then Crys and Alan and Junie came over. They drove their Tesla and took the kids and Rob out for a drive. That was really fun for them. The kids also talked us into letting them open their gifts from each other that day. They were all very happy with the gifts they got. I love how they all took the time to think about who they were getting their gifts for and really wanted to get them something they would love. Riley was so sweet. She spent all of her money on a caboodle that she thought Sadie would really like and she spent almost a week in class making her a cute calendar. She was so excited to give it to her. I loved seeing her joy in doing something for someone else.
On Christmas, we had a relaxing morning of opening gifts and then we went over to Crys and Alan's house. They provided a delicious meal and we watched a movie with them. It was a great time. I love that we have some family close by that we can get together with and celebrate holidays.
Movie time! The little girls didn't sit still for very long, but they were around long enough to take this picture!
Rob ended up really liking the movie. I wasn't sure he would like it when we discovered it was more of a musical.
Cute Ponyo. Finley was comfortable enough to be on the floor at the same time as Ponyo. It takes her a minute to warm up.
Junie was being so cute at the dinner table.
Sadie and Zac got to hang out at the counter.
The food was so delicious. The creamed corn was my favorite part. Which is weird. I didn't think I liked that stuff. But I couldn't get enough of it!
Uncle Alan let the kids help him with a few lego sets he got for Christmas.
We brought our new dungeons and dragons card game with us. It's actually really fun. And short. Which is the best part. Ha ha
Riley got roller blades.
Sadie got a new bed set. She loves it.
We got a nickel knocker game. We have spent a lot of time playing this game. Thanks Luke and Taylor!
Finley's sharing her new chapstick with Dad.
Merry Christmas morning!
Checking out their stockings.
Matching Junie and Finley on Christmas Eve.
The kids are hanging out in the Tesla playing driving games. Uncle Alan was so nice to take everyone out for a spin. The kids were in heaven!
Sadie got Finley her own rainbow toy. She has loved Sadie's rainbow toy for a long time. Now she has her own!
Sibling gift exchange! Sadie had Finley, Zac had Riley, Emery had Zac, Riley had Sadie and Finley had Emery.
Elf Chart time! The kids had to clean the entire house before they could break out the elf gift chart. But they did it!
Christmas was great for us this year. We love spending so much time together and enjoying new toys with each other. And we especially rejoice in the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ who came to earth to be an example for us all to return to live with our Heavenly Father again someday.
