Pinewood Derby

Well, Rob and I made it through the pinewood derby last night. Unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera, so there aren't any pictures. Everything went well I think...except that the track that our stake has STINKS! We had to re-run a ton of races because the cars kept jumping off of the tracks. The kids seemed to be having fun though. There were quite a few people there. There were 14 boys competing, but there were about 65 people there. There were only 72 cupcakes...so next year we will plan on more refreshments.

Rob did a great job as cubmaster. We didn't have a microphone which would have been helpful, but it went well enough. The end was fun too because the boys could race their cars and any kids or adults that made a car. Sadie was so excited about this because Rob made a car and she was allowed to race it. The problem was that it didn't have any weight on it. So when they put it down the track it didn't make it to the end...it just glided to a stop about 3 feet before the end. Sadie didn't notice though. She was looking for her car under the stoppers at the end. It was funny.

Anyway, now we just have to get through the ward Halloween party tomorrow night and we will be done with our busy week!
