Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

We love that my parents can come visit so often.  It's nice that they have 2 reasons to come visit Utah now that my dad's parents live here.  We really love it.  And this last visit was special because my dad was here on his birthday.  So we got to celebrate the day with him.  We started off nice and early with presents.  We also set up some streamers for him to run through.  :)

The kids were excited to help him open the presents.  Then my mom had set up a trip to Homestead Crater to go swimming.  It's warm water and it was really fun.  We only had one scare where I couldn't find Emery for a minute and I was sure she had sunk to the bottom.  That only lasted a few seconds...but I was so scared.  Luckily, she had told ROb that she was going to the other side.  Phew.

Swimming at the crater was the highlight of our week.  Then we hurried home and ate some pizza.  We had a great day celebrating my dad.  I even planned for my car to not start at the school while picking Emery up from Orchestra so he could come rescue me on his birthday.  He loves to tinker with things and fix things...so I was just doing him a favor.  Ha ha.  Thanks for rescuing me dad!

Finley had been waiting weeks for them to get to our house.  When they finally made it, she was very chatty.  She apparently said something funny.

She is always in heaven when grandma and grandpa are here to give her some attention!

On Sundays I do a singing time Facebook live video and my parents helped me that day by transforming into chin head people and singing the song.  ha ha.

The kids helped too!

Finley couldn't stop looking at them!

The primary video turned out great by the way.  :)

Then we had the big birthday.

We all got up bright and early to celebrate and open gifts before Sadie went to school.

He had lots of help opening the gifts.

Here he is trying to figure out why my car didn't start.  We couldn't really figure out why, but it has only happened once again since then...

Grandpa's new shirt.  I love it.

Then we made our way to Homestead crater.

There were scuba divers underneath us swimming.  It made me nervous thinking they were going to come up right under me.  There were bubbles coming up the whole time.  Finley loved the bubbles.

THere was a little area sectioned off where we could sit and stand.  Finley liked this part.  Sadie and Zac had fun with the snorkels and goggles.

Zac watched the scuba divers that were under us a lot of the time.

After our time was up we went home and ate pizza and cookies.

When we were done swimming, we walked above the swimming hole and across a bridge.

Sunny family photo.

They hid some candy for the kids to find.  Here is grandma explaining the rules.

The kids evening up the candy.

The night after his birthday is when we had actual cake and ice cream.  In our family, this is what you call and Ultimate Birthday celebration.  Ha ha.
