A very looooooooong swimming trip

On Friday around 4:30, we decided to take Sadie to the indoor pool in Springville. We hadn't been in a long time, and I finally got a new swim suit, so we all got ready and drove over to the pool. We got there around 4:40 and realized that it didn't open to the public until 6pm. Sheesh! So, to keep Sadie from having a complete meltdown about not being able to go swimming, we told her we would take her to the park to fly some kites. So we went home and got a kite and went to the park in our swim suits. There was no wind, but luckily I have a husband who can run really fast. :)

So after kite flying, we still had about 45 minutes to kill before the pool opened. So we drove over to Mcdonnald's and got a little something to eat from the dollar menu. The whole time Sadie was eating, we kept telling her that when she was all done with her food, she could go play on the big playground thing. So she ate really good and I started to take her into the play area and on the door it had a sign that said "WEAR SOCKS AT ALL TIMES!" This was a problem because when we got ready for the pool, of course she didn't put socks on! So I had to tell her we couldn't play on it because we didn't have any socks. I felt really bad about that but she took it pretty well. By that time we only had about 15 minutes until the pool opened so we piled back into the car and drove to the pool. It took us almost 15 minutes to get there because of all the construction around our house. Sheesh.

So we made it to the pool and we all went swimming. Zac even came in after he woke up. (he dozed off in the car on the way to the pool) At first he didn't like it, but after about 2 minutes he started smiling and splashing and stuff. It was a fun evening. But what started out as a quick trip to the pool ended up as an evening full of good times!
