More Emery

Here are some pictures of Emery. She is about three weeks old in these pictures. I can't believe it has been that long. She will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Wow. She is such a good baby and she's really cute too!

Hanging out on the floor after bath time.

Daddy and Emery taking a snooze on the couch.

I didn't rotate this pictures...sorry. But I love her face in it. SO cute!

Sushi

For Christmas I got Rob all kinds of stuff to make sushi at home. Ever since his co-workers invited him out for sushi he has been obsessed with it! He loves to go out to sushi and it is not cheap! So I decided if he learned how to make it himself, we could save some money.

So he opened his gift on Sunday, and on Monday night, we ate some homemade sushi. It was really yummy. We made one with avocado and cucumber in the middle and another with spam and pineapple. They were both good.

Here's to many more nights of homemade sushi!

The last week

I have been very spoiled. Mostly because my mom has been here for the past three weeks helping with the kids. But also because my family is awesome and I have a great husband who helps me with anything I need him to. Anyway, my mom left today and I am a little nervous about handling these three kiddos on my own! When I would feed Emery, my mom would play with the other kids. When I was done feeding her, she would take her an burp her while I played with the other kids. So we will see what the next weeks bring. I hope I survive!!!

Here are some pictures from the last week or so.

Grandma with the three Kevan grandkids. They sure do love her and we will miss her tons!

Our first real family picture with Emery. We will need that updated ASAP when I slim down a bit and actually put makeup on. :)

A sister moment.

Cute Emery.

I love this picture because it shows her dimple. So adorable!

Sadie all dressed up to go to her dance recital. (See next post for the video)

Mom spent her birthday here in Utah with us and my dad sent her a cake in the mail. YUM!

Us waiting in line for a free carriage ride. It was fun, but really cold!

The kids in their cute hats. Emery has a matching owl hat that I made for her, but she doesn't really like to wear it. So no picture yet!

Dance recital

Sadie has been in a dance class for a few months now and her first recital was last Tuesday. It was so cute. SHe was sooooo excited about it and her new costume and everything. She did great. Here is a video of one of her dances.

Sadie is the one in the very middle...so cute.

Happy Birthday!

Mom talking to dad on video chat while opening her presents.

So Monday was my mom's birthday. She was here with us in Utah, so we got up and I made her some yummy eggs with ham and veggies and potatoes for breakfast. The kids kinda had a rough day that morning so I put them down for an early nap. The plan was to have roast and potatoes for dinner with my brother and his family at our house around 5. Then we were going to have a fun treasure hunt that my brother had thought up and at the end my mom would find some fun gifts that my dad left up here for her.

So remember how I said my kids (just Sadie and Zac. Emery was great!) were having a hard morning.? Well, they had an even harder afternoon. When they woke up from their nap, they were both really grumpy, which is weird for Sadie to be grumpy after she has a good nap. Anyway, I walked over to my neighbors house to give her a clue as part of the treasure hunt that my mom was going to do later, and about one minute after we got home, Sadie threw up. Nice.

So we threw the kids in the bath, and my mom took over because I had to go feed Emery. Of course, this is when Evan and Shanna show up so we told them that Sadie had just gotten sick and they didn't want to get sick so they never even came inside. My mom got the kids out of the bath and went to talk to Evan and Shanna outside for about 5 minutes. I told her that Zac would be ok for that long without a diaper. Well...guess what?? About 2 minutes after my mom wnet outside, Zac pooped on the floor!!! AHHHHH!

So I had to put Emery down for a while while I got a diaper on him and cleaned the floor. Then Rob got home and announced he wasn't feeling too great either. So my mom, Zac and I sat down and ate roast and potatoes. It was yummy, but there was a ton of it because we had planned on company. Then it was time for cupcakes. I told Zac he needed to take one more bite of his meat in order to have a cupcake because he hadn't eaten anything. This made him very angry and he SCREAMED and threw the biggest tantrum EVER. Seriously he was crying for about an hour or so until Rob finally calmed him down.

sigh. Despite all of that...I hope my mom had a happy birthday. We love you mom!

Just a few to tide you over

Here are just a few pictures to tide everyone over until I can make a real post about our little girl Emery.

Enjoy!

The nurse made this cute little sign to go on her bed while she was in the hospital. So cute.

Awake!

Right after her bath. They put a bow in her hair and gave her a mohawk. So funny...and adorable!

Calm.

Our last family picture as a family of four. Now we need someone to take a picture of our family of five! :)

Emery Catherine Kevan

Last night we were surprised by the early arrival of our little baby GIRL! We named her Emery Catherine Kevan. She is beautiful and has a head full of dark hair. She was 8 lbs 1 oz. It is a good thing she came 2 weeks early or else she would have ended up being like 10 pounds! Yikes. We love her and can't wait to bring her home tomorrow. And then I can post some pictures.
