Cousins...again

I know I already have a few posts about William and Riley, but they are just so cute!  I don't think I have posted these pictures yet, but if I have sorry.  I'm just too lazy to go back and check.  ha ha

This one looks like William is trying to give Riley bunny ears.

This was a month or so ago, but the last time I watched William, he would just hang out in this position.  Almost the splits.  No biggie.

And this video is quite old, but it was the first time I caught Riley crawling on camera.  Now she is MUCH faster, but I thought I should record this.

Never too many laughing videos!

Trouble...

Riley can really move these days.  We're in trouble!!  Nothing will keep her from getting to where she wants to be.  In this case, she wanted the legos.  So She just climbed right in and started playing.  ha ha

This was the first attempt.  Rob wasn't quick enough with the camera to get a picture of her inside, but he got one after she fell.  ha ha

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend consisted of a lot of lounging around because it was also General Conference weekend!  It was pretty relaxing...although, I did miss a lot of what was said because I was coloring with the kids or trying to keep them occupied.  ha ha.

I think this was Saturday Afternoon session.  The kids and I were taking up the whole couch!  And yes, Emery thinks that her swim suit is something she can wear in place of clothing.  It happens about once a week.  I gave up that fight...and she is just so happy in her swim suit.  ha ha

On Easter morning, we had to check out back to see if there were any eggs.  Riley was ready with her little blue bucket.

 And they're off!

Riley sat here pretty much the whole time just playing with this egg and her bucket.

Emery was very distraught one day when I didn't buy her any pink peeps to eat at the store.  Fortunately she found some here.

Zac found a lot of stuff.

All done!  I think they had fun.  And they found four or five eggs later on in the day that they didn't find in the morning.  That was even more fun!

After they ate some of their candy, we read the Easter story from the Bible and I gave them each a mini Christus Statue.  They all found a special spot for their statue and I think they enjoyed our morning.

Then on Sunday evening we dyed our Easter eggs.  Yeah...we were a little behind schedule.  But we had lots of fun getting them ready for our Easter egg bash the next night.  Zac LOVES the egg bash tradition.  He talks about it all year and always wants to play "easter egg bash" with anyone who will play with him.  :)  So he was pretty happy it was finally happening.

 I lost against Sadie.

Can you tell who won this match??

 And this one??

I lost all of my matches.  Oh well..  And I think Rob did too.  I didn't get any pictures of him because he was holding Riley most of the time and filling out the brackets.  What a good man!

Sadie was the champion!  There were a few tears...but then we let them roll the uncracked eggs at each other until they were all cracked and they were pretty happy again.

This was obviously a before picture.  I love my family!

My cute kids

I might be biased, but I think my kids are the cutest kids around!  Today we did a mini photo shoot and tried to get at least one good picture of all of them.  This is a really cute one of the three older kids.  Aren't they adorable?!

Riley was not in the mood to take pictures...(she had just woken up from a nap, but we had to go to church, so we forced her to be in a few.)  Daddy and the kids looking sharp.

And I wanted a picture of myself with my kids.  I made the dresses for the girls and I think they turned out pretty cute.  And Zac got new church clothes too.

 Sadie- 7

Rob put on quite the show behind me.  It was funny.

 Zac - 4 (almost 5...two more weeks!!)

In almost every picture at least one of them is closing their eyes!

Duplex

We (and by we I mean 99% Rob) have been working on updating our duplex in Springville for the past couple of months so we could put it on the market.  Rob spent lots of nights and weekends working down there.  One weekend we left the older kids at a friend's house and Riley and I tagged along.  It was pretty difficult though because the carpet was ripped out so there wasn't many places for Riley to be.

She hung out on my back while I painted for a little while...

But then I got tired pretty quickly.  So we mostly just hung out while Rob did all the work.  :)

 Here is our lovely duplex.

New carpet and fresh paint.  It makes a huge difference!

The kitchen is my favorite part!  I painted the cabinets and Rob installed the flooring.  It looks 100% better than it did.  I love it so much!

And here are the pretty daffodils that are blooming on the side of the house.  So pretty.  Hopefully it sells quickly.  But I really will miss this place!

Zac's chin...again

Zac fell down and split his chin opened again.  He did it a little over a year ago at the swimming pool while trying to climb up a slide.  This time pretty much the same thing happened.  He was trying to climb up a wooden board that they had set up against the couch as a slide and slipped and banged his chin. Rob wasn't home so I called a neighbor and asked her if she thought I should take him in.  She assured me that I probably should. I always need help in decisions like that!  Fortunately, Rob had left Kung Fu a little bit early (which never happens!) so he got home so I could take Zac in by myself and not have to bring all the kids.

This was at instacare in the waiting room.  They put the numbing gel on.

Here we are in the room.

After they cleaned out his chin they let him keep the "squirt gun".  He was pretty happy about that.  Although you can't tell by his face...he was pretty nervous about being there.

Zac kept telling me to take pictures so he could see what it looked like.  The doctor decided to just glue it closed instead of stitches.  So Zac was happy about that too.

Mrs. Cavanaugh's candy factory

We went to Mrs. Cavanaugh's candy factory and took a little tour.  It was  lots of fun and delicious because they give you yummy samples along the way!  Here is Zac disguised as a piece of chocolate.

 Emery wasn't quite tall enough.

This was my favorite part.  The lady behind the glass was using her hands to mix nuts into chocolate and transfer them to little paper holders.  She was amazing and didn't spill at all!  I think she has had lots of practice.

Here the tour guide is explaining that all of the chocolates have different markings on them to tell you what kind of candy it is.  Pretty clever.

Here was a quote that I liked on the wall.  ha ha.  If only it were true...

And this is another one I wanted to show Rob.  :)

And then at the end we got some ice cream.  I wanted to get some chocolates, but the ice cream was only one dollar and the box of chocolates was like 10.  So we went with ice cream.  But I am still dreaming about the chocolate caramel that I tried while I was there.  So Yummy!

Legos legos legos!

We went to the "Lego Americana Roadshow" that was set up at a mall not far from our house.  I was worried it would be really crowded, but it wasn't too bad.  I was with the kids on my own because Rob was working hard at the duplex.  I met up with a friend and we found all of the displays.  I think Sadie's favorite part of each display was the sign that said what it was and how many people it took to make and how many hours.  It was really neat.

Here is Emery and her friend Ella, and Sadie with her friend Jake in front of the statue of liberty.

Charlotte and Riley did really well in the strollers.  They liked to look at each other.  :)

Here they are in front of another building.  Not sure which one it is.  And I think it is funny that Sadie likes to wear her soccer uniform from last year all the time.  ha ha

Here is the Washington Monument.  It was so tall, and very hard to get a picture of the whole thing!

Statue of Liberty

Zac wanted a picture of just him with this one.  I think it is the Jefferson Monument.

All of us in front of the liberty bell.

Sadie in front of some other building...

Some kind of church...

And here are the kids in front of the white house I think.. Or the capitol building.  We had a great time.  It was really neat to see the things they can make out of legos!
