Oregon- Thursday

Thursday was the day that we all wore our matching shirts that Rob's mom had made for everyone.  Andrew, Crys and Alan are missing from all of the pictures (we missed them!) but they seemed to turn out ok.  We went over to the park and snapped about 100 pictures and then let the kids play with the stomp rockets that Ben and Lindsy brought.  It was so fun.

Riley loved their dog Hallie.  We had to watch her close so that she didn't pull her tail too hard.  But Riley loved that dog!

In the morning before pictures the kids played with these col water beads.  I couldn't stop playing with them either.  They felt really cool.

We got to the park first and snapped a few pictures with the kids to see how the lighting was.

 Emery didn't last too long.

Here are all of the grandkids with grandma and grandpa.  I think they are almost all looking even!

Sadie is such a good sister.  She is always trying to keep Riley happy.

All the boys with their parents.

 Emery on the stomp rocket

Uncle Luke wanted a turn too, so he had to wait in line with the kids.  Ha ha.

But he launched it pretty far I think.

Sadie's turn!

Zac really loved this part.  Rob and some other uncles went out in the field to be targets.  It was fun.

 Grandma and Grandpa.

Riley eating the grass.  Like usual.

Rob needed to stretch out after the pictures.

IN the afternoon they all went to play miniature golf and laser tag.  Rob is still telling me about how bad his laser gun was.  Apparently his didn't work very well I guess.  I didn't get to witness it because I was resting at the hotel with Riley who desperately needed a nap.  After that, We celebrated Coralee's birthday with a yummy dinner and yummy cake and ice cream.

Oregon- Wednesday

These pictures are not in order, but this is what we did on Wednesday.  We started the morning off by doing some work in grandpa's garden.  We pulled weeds and trimmed back the blackberry bushes and took the nets off of the blueberries.  After lunch we drove up to see some ice caves.  We basically walked up the side of a steep mountain (not too far) and there were some caves that were letting cold air out of them.  It felt so nice to stand in front of them!   It was like air conditioning.

Then we drove over to a river and let the kids swim and play for a while.  It was lots of fun.  Then in the evening, Andrew was called away to a fire and had to pack up and get ready to go.  We hurried and got a picture of all the brothers together before he left.

Aren't they handsome??

It was impossible to keep the rocks out of Riley's mouth while we were at the river.  I don't think she ended up swallowing any though.  :)

All the kids.  We didn't bring our swimming suits so the kids just went swimming in their clothes.  They didn't seem to mind.  ha ha.

This was at the ice caves.  Ben took some of the older kids up higher to see if there were any more cave up there.  Rob joined them and said it was fun to explore a little bit.

We all just kind of stood around taking turns in front of the cold air.  ha ha.

Then we stopped at this pipe thing that had natural water coming out of it.  Everyone filled their water bottles and got a drink.  In this picture Zac is taking his turn.

 At the river.
Grandma and Grandpa showed up at the river.  It was fun to have them there.

This was at the bottom of the ice caves.  They all found a treasure.  Zac, Rob and Emery found pinecones, and Sadie found a huge stick.

This is everyone working in the garden.  It was hard with Riley so Rob got a game going for the kids who were tired of working.

I thought it was cute seeing them all sitting there together playing cards.  Thanks Rob!

Brent and Emery took a moment to have a boxing match.  Their hands are bigger than their whole bodies almost!  Ha!

Oregon- Tuesday

I guess I should finish posting about our trip to Oregon. I'm starting to forget what we did even using the pictures to help!  On Tuesday we had a fun water fight out in the backyard. It was a hot day so it was fun to get wet.  The water was SO COLD.  I did the slip and slide twice but decided it was too bumpy so I was done.  The kids had a blast though.

This was the water free zone.

I love this picture because Taylor looks like she is about to peg Luke with that water balloon!

And this one is funny because Matt is totally getting Rob.

Here is Rob's perfect slide on the slip and slide.  I think Taylor was in charge of the hose so she was making sure he was nice and wet.  ha ha

Riley played with the bucket under the tent.  She had fun.

It was so fun to have the cousins around.  Sadie and Wyatt played this game by themselves for a good while.  :)

Trip to Oregon - Monday

On Monday, I mentioned to Rob that I thought it would be fun to ride some horses.  So Rob said he knew some people with horses and would try to set something up.  Turned out that his old scout leader had some but they weren't able to be ridden at the time, but they had a pony that the kids could ride.  So we brought the kids over and we had a blast riding that little pony around their yard.  Thanks so much to the nice friends who let us use their pony!!

Here is Rob leading Sadie around the yard.

Zac with a thumbs up.  Rob thought it would be fun to go a little bit faster at one point and I guess Zac yelled "Dad!" and Rob looked back to see Zac hanging off the side of the saddle.  ha ha.  I guess we will stick to walking for now.

Riley practiced standing and playing with my sunglasses.

Emery was just in heaven when she was riding.

They also had a really fun rope swing that Sadie and Zac loved taking turns on.

And we need to get one of these!  Riley was laughing and giggling the whole time she was in this swing!

It looks like she is helping him, but Zac figured out how to get on all by himself.  Pretty cool.

When we got back to grandma and grandpa's house, Emery found this helmet and wore it around for a while.

And these guys were twins.

Trip to Oregon - Saturday and Sunday

On Saturday morning we left for Oregon bright and early.  Well, not really that early.  I think it was about 8am.  But we were on the road.  Luke and Taylor were already ahead of us on the road but a few hours in we got a text from Luke saying they had just gotten gas in a little city that we were just passing by.  Then we looked ahead and their car was in front of us!  It was kinda fun.

I think the car in this picture is Luke and Taylor, but I could be wrong...

The kids were amazing in the car.  Sadie and Zac giggled and played in the back seat and Emery occupied herself in her seat.  Riley whined a little bit, but not very much.  It was awesome.  We made it all the way to Boise before we had to make any stops.  (that's a little over 5 hours!)

So we got out and had a picnic lunch at the church by the Boise temple.  It was fun.

And Riley was in heaven when they all went to find a bathroom.  She was stealing all of their doritos!

View of the temple as we drove by.  Pretty.

In a short 2 and a half hours we had made it to grandma and grandpa's house.  Luke and Taylor and William beat us there.  ha ha.  Emery and Sadie went right for the costume room.  :)

They were loving the umbrellas and masks.

I think Sadie got to keep this mask.  It is in her room.  ha ha

The boys hanging out.

Uncle Duncan was nice and showed the kids how to put these cool blocks together.  Thanks Duncan!

And we forgot Zac's toothbrush.  ha ha.  Just kidding.  I don't know how many people put these in their mouth while we were there.  ha ha.

On Sunday we went to church and snapped this family picture on our way in.  Photo credit goes to Duncan.

We got to see Daniel and Heidi bless their beautiful one month old baby girl.

On the way out of church...Riley was really tired.

Dog pile on Rob!

Later after church we walked down to the park.  The kids played a little and Riley and I hung out in the shade.
She spotted Sadie and Zac and got all excited.  Ha ha .  I love this face!

Riley was super tired.  It's hard to take regular naps while on vacation.  Don't want to miss any action!

Emery got a nice story from Grandpa.
