Halloween

This year for Halloween, the kids wanted to be people from Star Wars.  So we went to the store and bough Sadie and Zac their costumes.  Zac wanted to be BB8 at first, but when I saw that the costume was 45 dollars (!!) I showed him the stormtrooper costume and it didn't take any convincing.  He didn't want BB8 anymore.  :)  Emery wanted to be R2D2, so I had to figure out how to do that.  I had been thinking about how to make it into a dress and when I got onto one of my favorite blogs there was a tutorial right there for me to follow! It was amazing.  Here it is if anyone wants to do it themselves. http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2015/09/star-wars-r2-d2-dress-costume-for-girls-plus-one-to-give-away.html  I still needed a costume for Riley, so I decided to just follow the R2D2 tutorial but try to make it look like BB8.  It turned out so cute.  I love them!

Anyway, our ward had a trunk or treat activity that we went to and then we went trick or treating on Halloween.  We got way too much candy, but the kids all looked cute and had a great time.  Luke and Taylor joined us for trick or treating which we always love and he looked so cute dressed as a little Ego waffle.  :)

Kassie and Emery helped me make some spiderweb chocolate pretzels.

The spiders didn't turn out so great, but the webs looked good and tasted yummy.

Emery was so happy when I told her that her costume was *almost* done.

Here they are in my sewing room. I left the R2d2 one standing up all like that and then I about had a heart attack when I went into my sewing room late at night in the dark and saw it standing there. ha ha.

I was in charge of the Halloween party for the ward so we got to go to Costco and buy 300 rolls.  This is what it looks like in the cart.  The girls were loving being buried in rolls.

Now onto a ton of pictures of the kids in their costumes.

For the Halloween trunk or treat I was festive and dressed up as Ray.  But then someone showed up with a way better costume and they had a staff.  Oh well.  ha ha.

Rob was feeling left out because he didn't have a costume.  I told him to grab the fake mustache.  I couldn't stop laughing.

The library had these fun backdrops for photos.  I had to laugh looking back at these pictures because non of their hair is combed, but they still look adorable.

 My little star wars clan.

Rob's mom made us this awesome Star Wars quilt so it had to appear in our picture.

Once again, Rob threw something on so he wasn't the only one not dressed up.  ha ha  So funny. But I must say he makes a very handsome Flash.

All the kids before they took off for trick or treating.  And I heard that Riley and William literally ran from house to house.  Cute kids.

Then William tried on Emery's R2D2 costume.  Cute little droids!

Those costumes are AMAZING!! I can't believe you made up the R2D2 one. I can sew straight lines for blankets but you make the cutest things for your kids!
That last picture of William in the costume is great :) :)
