Pumpkin patch and pumpkin carving

We went to the pumpkin patch with the kids on the Saturday before Halloween.  it was such a nice day outside.  Short sleeves and shorts at the end of October??   I love it!

They had a few animals for the kids to touch and feed.  WE didn't bring any quarters for the food, so the kids just gathered the pieces that people had dropped.  he he.

Riley was loving it.  When the cow licked her hand, it left it totally slobbery.  gross.

This goat was trying to reach the machine that gives out the food.

And the llamas are always one of my faves.

 Cute little ghosts.

And Riley didn't want to be left out.

Then we went home and washed and carved our pumpkins.  It was fun to be able to do it on our driveway so the mess stayed outside.  The kids did pretty good (with the exception of one...) cleaning out their pumpkins.  And we have been enjoying the yummy seeds since that evening.

 Our set up.

I love this picture...Riley chilling in the chair, Rob helping Zac, and Sadie and Emery working hard cleaning their pumpkins out.  This is my life...and I love it.

I'll let you guess by these pictures which one didn't enjoy the clean out part.

Emery sat here and played in the bowl of pumpkin guts for a long time.  She loved it.

And here are all of our pumpkins.  Thank you to Sadie for all the close up shots.

I love traditions.
