Badminton in the park

For Rob's birthday, we got him a badminton/volleyball net that we thought would be fun to play in the backyard.  Well, the net didn't fit the way we wanted it to, so the kids were always hitting the ball over the neighbor's fence.  The first time Zac tried to hit the birdie with his racquet, he missed and it fell to the ground.  He looked at his racquet with big eyes and said "It went through!"  It was hilarious.  He really believed that the birdie went right through the racquet.  he he. We took it down and then a few days later brought it to the park to try it out with a little bit more room.  It was such a fun time!  We will definitely be doing this again!

Riley wasn't very happy most of the time we were there.  But at the beginning, she did a great job supervising from the sidelines.

WE played a little bit of badminton...

And then switched to volleyball.  We didn't raise the net up like we were supposed to though.  It worked out great because the kids could hit it over when it was lower.

Then everyone climbed a tree.  Here is Riley.

 And Sadie.

Then I decided I wanted to go up there.  It was pretty scary.  Ha ha.  Those kids of mine are brave!  I was holding on for dear life!
